There are two ways to extract the Palo Santo oil: from the wood and from the fruit of the tree.

From the wood: It can only be extracted once the tree has “died” and has fallen. As the wood matures over time, it develops a special chemical reaction that later produces an aromatic essential oil. This process takes around 10 years and unfortunately, has created a black market that is killing these trees to accelerate the process.

From the fruit: Strongly wishing to preserve this species and contribute to its protection by allowing them to have their regular period of life. Aypa produces the oil from the distillation of the Palo Santo fruit. It is a more sustainable way to experience the benefits of Palo Santo, especially in an emotional and well-being sense.
